It is our goal to protect both of us by signing our Dispatch Carrier Agreement, which clearly outlines our responsibilities and ours. This is not a long-term service contract, but rather a contract meant to protect both of us. You are not penalized for discontinuing our service if you cancel it.

Rimits Dispatch will also need insurance naming Rimits Dispatch as the certificate holder. This is a common industry practice for shippers, dispatchers, and brokers — it just allows us to conduct business when you want us to. Make sure the insurance covers both liability and cargo.

As well as the Carrier Set-Up Package and references for our shippers and brokers, we need your MC Permit and signed W9 form.

Since Rimits Dispatch keeps impeccable records and always maintains compliance with all safety, regulatory, and industry requirements, we also need a copy of each driver’s CDL.

 

Are Insurance Certificates required every time?

No. When it comes to obtaining insurance certificates, it’s important to understand the role of your insurance agent. Unless you have specifically instructed them otherwise, they will be working with us to process certificate requests that are made by “the insured only” – meaning you. However, even if this is the case, we still work closely with your insurance agent in order to obtain all necessary information and ensure that everything is processed correctly. This includes providing the required details for any certificate holders specified on the request form. So while you may be handling some aspects of the process yourself as the insured party, rest assured that our team is still there every step of the way to make sure everything goes smoothly and all parties involved receive their necessary documentation promptly and accurately.
